Description

The HONEYWELL 5701 series control system is a complex system based on microprocessors. Multiple single channel control cards are installed in the rack system, each paired with a related field/relay card, responsible for connecting sensor inputs and optional relay outputs. Each channel control card independently handles basic alarm operations and operations.
For more complex alarm processing, communication is carried out between a specified number of control cards through the backplane of the rack. An engineering card is also installed in each rack to manage rack backplane communication, control card queries, and facilitate maintenance tasks. In addition, optional modules on the engineering card can provide additional system outputs.
The system power supply, auxiliary power supply, and battery backup system are usually connected to the rack through a DC input card. However, for installations that require high integrity, the power supply can be directly connected to each individual control card.
