ABB 3BDZ000398R1, also known as RLM01, is a redundancy link module designed for PROFIBUS‑DP networks. It enables redundant communication by converting a single non‑redundant PROFIBUS line into two redundant RS485 lines, ensuring high availability and uninterrupted communication in industrial automation systems.
This module is widely used in ABB 800xA, Freelance, AC800M, AC500, and S900 I/O systems. It automatically detects line faults such as cable breaks or short circuits and switches to the backup link within milliseconds without data loss.
